Here, you can find different ways of using art (visual arts) to help with art therapy.

Different colors give different feelings: x

YELLOW - (optimism, happiness, energy). It activates memory, stimulates the nervous system and encourages communication.

GREEN - It soothes, relaxes you (physically and mentally), and helps alleviate stress and anxiety.

BLUE - brings about rest. It cools, calms and sedates you.

PURPLE - It uplifts you, calms the nerves, and inspires creativity.

PINK - It stimulates energy and helps circulate blood pressure, heart beat and pulse rate. It also reduces erratic behavior.

RED - It increases enthusiasm, encourages actions and confidence, and it also provides a feeling of safety from anxiety.

ORANGE - It stimulates activity, appetite and encourages socialization.

WHITE - It helps give mental clarity, evokes purification of thoughts and gives way to new beginnings.

GREY - It unsettles us and helps create expectations.

BLACK - It provides an emptiness and evokes a sense of potential and possibility.
